Volunteers step up for mental health support of members of Canadian Forces

The efforts and commitments of volunteers are vital to the ministry of helping people hear God speak through Scripture.

We knew that, with the pandemic restrictions, it was no small ask to invite our extended community to ride, walk or run to help raise funds to provide Scriptures to men and women serving in the Canadian Forces, in order to support their mental and spiritual health.

Heavy rainfall didn’t deter the passionate participants in The North Bay Ontario Ride on August 29, 2020! Thank you, North Bay Riders for your commitment to riding over 25 km for the cause!

Distance was no deterrent for the 23 participants in the Bike for Bibles Rocky Mountain Ride. Riders from age 14 to 75 spanned 450 kms over four days, with no major injuries or COVID issues.

As well, while we grieve that we could not gather as usual, we were thankful for continuous engagement by many volunteers and other supporters.

Such initiatives as the Virtual Challenge in May and Rocky Mountain Virtual Challenge in September saw people pursuing a favourite physical activity in their neighbourhood, on a local trail or even at home, raising support for Bible ministry.
